Distributed Hybrid Infrastructure - the next wave of IT modernization

Gartner®, Inc. defines the emerging distributed hybrid infrastructure (DHI) as “offerings that deliver cloud-native attributes that can be deployed and operated where the customer prefers"1 DHI is the solution for infrastructure owners challenged to support modern, containerized applications running in disparate environments  — on-premises, at the edge or in the public cloud — while addressing the security challenges that a distributed model entails.

Support for Gen AI and Kubernetes are DHI Fundamentals

Cloud native workloads are becoming the standard, often as part of GenAI adoption, and require the same business-critical infrastructure that have been the hallmark of virtualized workloads. We are pleased to see the Nutanix acquisition of D2IQ be called out for differentiated Kubernetes® platform value. It is an important element of our GPT-in-a-Box offering, which has captured the imagination of organizations looking to simplify new GenAI deployments.

Platforms Are The Future

Nutanix has taken a platform approach to support secure applications and data running anywhere. According to Gartner®, "By 2028, more than 80% of new infrastructure services will be sourced by [Infrastructure Platform Engineering] groups, up from less than 10% in 2024."2 For customers looking to standardize on an extensible and flexible platform with comprehensive APIs, built-in security, and a commitment to continuous innovation, the Nutanix Cloud Platform software helps infrastructure leaders build modern Distributed Hybrid Infrastructure.
