Dog Rescues such as Pawsitively Pugs: https://pawsitivelypugs.org/
I feel a special connection with Pawsitively Pugs Rescue because it was through them that I adopted my first senior rescue dog. This experience opened my heart to the joys of adopting senior pugs, and over time, I've expanded my family to include small dogs of all ages through this rescue, such as chihuahuas, Boston terriers, and Frenchie mixes.
Every dog I've fostered has brought such pure joy and companionship into my life that adopting them felt like the most natural decision. Each adoption has been a win, enriching my life and providing a loving forever home for these wonderful dogs.
While I deeply value fostering and want to see more people get involved in fostering and dog-sitting for rescues, my passion truly lies in providing these dogs with a permanent, loving home. The bonds I've formed with each dog and the happiness they've brought into my life are invaluable.
I encourage everyone to consider fostering or dog-sitting for rescues. The experience is incredibly rewarding, and you may find, as I did, that giving a rescue dog a forever home is one of the most fulfilling things you can do.
Rescue dog sitting, fostering (attempted!), and assisting at local fundraising/adoption events.
Adopting adult and senior dogs holds a unique and profound value. These older dogs are often incredibly grateful and affectionate, with settled personalities and an eagerness to be part of a family. Adults and seniors are usually calm, well-behaved, and often already house-trained, making the transition smoother.
By adopting an adult or senior dog, you are providing a loving home for their golden years, which is really rewarding. Their gratitude and unconditional love can enrich your life in ways you never imagined. When considering a new furry family member, don't overlook the adults and seniors – they have so much love left to give and are waiting to share it with you.
