Felli Group, a leading household goods brand in Taiwan, used Nutanix to reduce its datacenter energy consumption by 62% and nearly doubled its operating speed.
With almost 40 years of history in Taiwan, Felli Group has entered the manufacturing, international trading, and retail markets, becoming a one-stop brand for design, development, manufacturing, and sales of household goods, adhering to its core spirit of industry leadership, human-centered innovation, and safety and sustainability.
Over the years, Felli Group had accumulated large amounts of data in its datacenter’s traditional three-tier infrastructure. “In reviewing our existing IT, we found that we could cut our energy consumption and that some of our applications could be further optimized. Nutanix’s hyperconverged infrastructure was most fitting for our current stage of transformation, so we adopted Nutanix in our offices and factories," said Victor Chen, CIO at Felli Group.

Adopting Nutanix’s hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) can remove the need for additional hardware such as SAN switches and storage devices. Required cabinet space can be greatly reduced and energy consumption decreased. Felli Group also successfully migrated its SAP ERP application and Business Warehouse, improving operating speed and reducing cloud expenses.
After collaborating with Nutanix, the operating speed for both increased by nearly 50 percent, and users gained the ability to log on to the system in just 15 seconds, instead of 30. Moreover, Felli Group expects to save over NT$30 million in cloud leasing fees.
With Nutanix AHV Hypervisor automatic alerts, Felli Group will also benefit from improved system performance. The system will be alerted in advance of excessive usage or accidents, reducing the time spent on painstaking repairs to ensure no operational data has been lost by allocating resources in real-time.
“Nutanix is pleased to partner with Felli Group to help it meet their carbon footprint verification goals and move towards sustainable smart manufacturing,” said Daniel Chang, managing director, Greater China at Nutanix. “Nutanix will continue to work with customers across all industries to help them reduce their carbon footprint and accelerate the transformation of manufacturing and traditional industries."
