Brian Martin
Chief Legal Officer
Brian Martin is Chief Legal Officer at Nutanix where he is responsible for all aspects of the company’s legal department. He has more than 20 years of experience in legal leadership roles, working at companies like Lyten, Inc., Juniper Networks, KLA-Tencor Corporation, and Sun Microsystems, Inc. Brian currently serves on the boards of Family Supportive Housing and The Law Foundation Silicon Valley. He is an instructor at the Stanford University School of Law where he teaches a course on the role of the general counsel. He earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Rochester and a Juris Doctor degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo Law School. Brian was named Bay Area's General Counsel of the Year by the San Jose Business Journal/SF Business Times and as one of the 100 Most Influential People in Business Ethics by the Ethisphere Institute.
