SafeNet AT’s KMIP-compliant KeySecure for Government key manager integrates with Nutanix’s hardware and software-based data-at-rest encryption solutions. It serves as the guardian of the Key Encrypting Keys that effectively unlock the encrypted drives, whether they are physical or virtual. As a dedicated and disparate key manager, KeySecure for Government in its appliance form meets the oft-stated requirement by government agencies that key management must not be done on the same system as the encryption. Depending on configuration, FIPS 140-2 Level 2 or Level 3 is achieved.

Key Secure for Government is also available as a FIPS 140-2 Level 1 validated virtual platform. By incorporating a network-attached Luna SA for Government hardware security module (HSM), you can also achieve FIPS 140-2 Level 2 or 3 security.
