Nutanix NX Platforms

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Nutanix originally started with a single hardware platform (NX) to support a single hypervisor, all of which enabled the company to hone its software capabilities and tight integration with the hardware layer, before expanding support to include other vendor platforms, hypervisors and clouds.

The ninth generation NX platforms are based on the 4th Gen Intel® Xeon® Scalable processors (code-named Sapphire Rapids) and 4th Gen AMD EPYC™ (code-named Genoa) processors and provide customers with a high degree of configuration flexibility, including over memory, storage and GPU options.
