Located in Shandong Province, Feicheng Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine treats 360,000 patients every year. Previously, the hospital ran its key healthcare, laboratory, and patient record and billing systems on 30 separate servers. This sprawling setup took up large amounts of space, was difficult to manage and scale, and locked information up in silos.
To transform its infrastructure, the hospital deployed a Nutanix-Lenovo solution with three Lenovo ThinkAgile HX5520 appliances, Nutanix Cloud Platform, and two Lenovo ThinkSystem SR650 servers. Nutanix’s hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) breaks down data silos, simplifies management tasks, and reduces datacenter costs. The hospital gained substantial improvements in server performance and in business resiliency as the availability of critical applications improved. They were also able to scale flexibly to support fast-growing workloads with Nutanix HCI as compared to legacy infrastructures.
